Visa à l’arrivée​

Vous trouverez ci-dessous une liste des différentes sommes à verser pour un visa en fonction des pays. Si votre pays n’est pas sur la liste, le visa coûte probablement 30 dollars US ou c’est que vous n’êtes pas éligible pour avoir un visa Laotien à votre arrivée. Le Thai Baht est aussi accepté mais il est recommandé de payer votre visa en dollars à moins de ne plus avoir de monnaie. Si vous choisissez de payer en Thai Baht, cela vous coûtera aux alentours de 1500 Baht ce qui correspond à environ 46 dollars US.

Une chose dont il faut se souvenir au Laos est que pour faire des économies, il est préférable de payer en monnaie courante plutôt qu’en dollars, Lao Kip ou Thai Baht afin d’éviter la conversion d’une monnaie à une autre. Vous pourrez peut-être appliquer cette stratégie dans les hôtels, restaurants et magasins, surtout si c’est une grosse somme d’argent.

Note: Les weekends, les jours fériés au Laos et de 6 à 8h et après 4h, il existe une taxe de 1 dollar sur le temps. De plus, des frais d’entrées (2500 Kip plus ou moins) peuvent être ajoutés.

Procédures​

Dans la plupart des ports d'entrée, y compris les points de passage frontaliers internationaux du Laos et les aéroports internationaux (Vientiane, Luang Prabang, Paske et Savannakhet), on a la possibilité de faire son visa à l’arrivée (avant la fenêtre de l’immigration).

Préparez-vous lors de l’arrivée pour faire le visa (ne perdez pas votre temps dans la file d’attente du service immigration si vous n’avez pas encore de visa), obtenez le formulaire de visa et remplissez-le (si vous êtes arrivé en avion, le formulaire devrait vous être donné avant l’atterrissage). Ensuite, donnez-le à un agent avec votre passeport, 2 photos d’identités et l’argent pour le visa. Puis, attendez d’être appelé.
